Sour Cream Banana Bread

  • 1/2 cup BUTTER, softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup SOUR CREAM

  • 1 cup mashed bananas

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease one 9-inch bread pan. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix well. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt; combine with butter mixture. Add the sour cream, bananas and vanilla; stir well. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Then turn the loaf over onto a rack.
