  • 3/4 cup small-curd COTTAGE CHEESE

  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted BUTTER

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons MILK

  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar

In medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, butter, flour and salt until mixed. Shape into a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours or until dough is firm. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. On a floured surface roll dough into a 14-inch circle. Evenly cut into 8 triangles (like a pizza). Roll-up each triangle beginning with the wide end. Place on an ungreased baking sheet in a slight crescent shape. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from baking sheet to cool. While cooling, in a small bowl, gradually add milk to the confectioners’ sugar until slightly thick glaze-like consistency. Drizzle or brush glaze over croissants and serve immediately. Makes 8 servings.
