COUNTY ROYALTY
Our county promotion groups are the backbone of PDPPS. Each county has a committee that organizes events and activities within their county. The committee is made up of volunteers that can include local dairy farmers, agri-business personnel or dairy supporters. The county committee may meet monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly. Each spring, a new county royalty team is presented to the committee. If more than one candidate is competing at a county level, a panel of judges may select the county princess through an interview process, presenting a speech and/or skit and answering an impromptu question. Once the county princess is crowned, they will represent the county for one year, from June 1 to May 31. Each county princess is required to attend a four-day training seminar in July and participate in the state dairy princess competition in September.
Below are the county princesses and alternates across the state. The pictures were taken at the 2024 dairy princess training seminar at Roxbury Holiness Camp in Orrstown, PA.
