Each one of our dairy princess titles provides many opportunities to grow personally and professionally in confidence, leadership and for each girl to take pride and show passion in representing a group of dedicated people – the farmers who produce the wholesome dairy foods for their communities.
The state royalty team represents the dairy industry throughout Pennsylvania through various speaking engagements and events. The team is made up of the state dairy princess, first alternate and second alternate. Each member of the state royalty team started as a county dairy princess. The princesses from each county compete at the state level at the annual pageant where they are judged on public speaking, dairy industry knowledge, poise and personality. The top three girls are chosen as members of the state royalty team.
A county dairy princess is elected from among her peers at a local level to represent the dairy farmers at community events. The princess program trains young women in inter-personal skills, public speaking and leadership.
The junior representative program is a complementary program functioning within a county to assist the dairy princess in carrying out her duties. This is a great opportunity for young people to learn more about the many components within the dairy industry and to learn how to promote within their county.
